PopStation Contest

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Popstation. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love to sing. I’m constantly learning new things about my voice. I really want to go for a Taylor Swift kind of style; I think it would suit me. I barely have time to practice since I live with my mom and dad and two sisters with barely any privacy, but I think practicing in the room helps.

How about you? Do you love to sing? Now is the time for you to see if you are good enough to win the PopStation Contest hosted by PopStation. Popstation is an online music and entertainment singing experience, where people like you and me have a chance to sing our way to the top of The Charts and qualify for an Album Deal. I eagerly want to join in the contest. Who knows, I might win! The registration is free, so you don't need to use up your money just to be a part of the contest. So if you really love singing, it's time to show your talent to the world. This is our BIG chance.

So here's how it works. Go to the site and registered for a free account. At this point, you need to pick a song, and new ones are available in the practice rooms for only two weeks, once you're in the practice room, you will do what you do best and that's practice. You will be provided with lyric sheets, backing tracks, videos and song demos; however it's up to you to create your own style. Once you're ready to record, you'll have to download the song on your computer somewhere that you can find it. You'll also need to download the PopStation software to make all of this possible. Once this is in place, practice and records your song. Upload the song to the website and enter into a contest of your choice.

Now all you have to do is promote your song… let your friends, family and the people know about it so you can get more votes and more chances of getting your song to the Top of the Charts and become # 1. The #1 artist will be chosen every three months to win “The Big Deal” and “The Artist Formerly Known as You.” Talented winners will be allowed to choose an additional guest and will enjoy an all expenses paid, three night stay in New York City “ridiculously hip” hotel. A luxury car will whisk the winner away to a professional recording studio for two days of recording their very own album. Music will be recorded with the assistance of a professional production team.

Are you into pornography like, as in, it's become a habit or something?

Most x-rated films are advertised as "adult entertainment," for "mature adults," when in reality they are juvenile entertainment for immature and insecure people.

I came across this quotation in a certain social network that I am also a member of. I kind of get curious why some people love to watch pornography. I'm not coming off clean here, I too got to watch some of the materials because my officemate downloads some and lets us watch it. I however don't download any since I have to admit that I feel uncomfortable about doing it.

Since we're all "adults" in the office, and some of my co workers are already sexually experienced being married and stuff, I find it somewhat okay to watch. A bit of sex ed at my age (25) won't hurt, would it?

But do you agree with the saying above? Are you into pornography like, as in, it's become a habit or something?

Reclaim your Vacations!!!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.

When I was younger, my parents made sure that we went on at least one trip every year. And that one trip was somewhere new. In addition to that, we would go and visit family. When I graduated from college, all those fun trips disappeared. We still visit family, but there isn’t that epic sense of exploration that comes with going somewhere new.

My ultimate goal isn’t to do anything super-expensive (although, I’ll admit that I’m dying to go explore Branson again) this is one place that offers something for every member of the family. This is one location that probably offers the biggest number of live shows, concerts, and theater entertainment options. Branson, Missouri has a lot to offer visitors. Aside from the numerous music shows, a huge draw for many tourists, there are theme park, Titanic Museum, NAIA College Basketball Championship, FLW Bass Tournament and beautiful lakes, as well as golf courses and much more to pass your afternoons. Whether you are looking for family entertainment or a couple's weekend to get away, there are many activities to choose from. If I were to go to Branson again, I'd absolutely go for a romantic getaway.

The staffs of both Hilton Branson Convention Center and the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing are committed to helping you plan your vacation.

At Branson Landing you will enjoy unfamiliar waterfront shopping in over 100 specialty stores (stores include Belk Department Store, Bass Pro Shops and more) , dining, concerts on the Town Square, sightseeing at the waterfront of beautiful Lake and other entertainment adventures.

For more exclusive rates, you should visit them today for details.

Suicide

What's up with people trying to commit suicide by jumping off a building, a cliff or billboard. I mean, come on there are lots of way to commit suicide which are more discreet and not that scandalous, plus not that painful. Well after a decade of thinking (hehe not really true), most of them doesn't really want to die yet. Some may be just confused, but most of them just want some attention. Which I really find funny by the way, cause if they're just in need of attention, they should have just auditioned to some talent show and do something creative like drinking gas or something to get everyone's eyes on them.

But no, they'll rather stick to their dummy plan on going way up high on buildings. Some, more even mind boggling for me, ask for demands like, "get my ex wife here", "I want to talk to the media" or try to make a deal with the cops on not pressing any charges. What a loser. And then after calming down a bit and totally realizes that they could really die and that they don't want to die, they then start to climb down. But ironically, some of them suddenly slip. So eventually some still die.

This reminds me of a breaking news years before, a boy, ages around 10 I think, tries to commit suicide by jumping off from roof to roof on his neighborhood and wouldn't go down (though I don't think he's serious on killing himself). His mother was almost having a heart attack seeing his son's situation. The boy I think was even smiling at that time, obviously just playing around and loving the attention that he's getting from all the neighbors and not to mention, the media who were covering the incident. When suddenly a gun fire was heard. Somebody shot the kid. And as everyone tries to pinpoint the gunman, everyone was surprise to learn that it was some barangay official, who by that time is a bit tipsy. Reason for shooting.... he just got irritated.

True love is lasting forever

Love is a feeling and feelings do change. It can change to better or it can be in the worse side. But love can love forever as long as both are willing to give sacrifices for the sake of the relationships. Just like in any other things, There are regulations and these we call the do's and the don'ts. So when we say i love to a person we have to be sure that we are really feeling it, otherwise we will also be the one who will and can suffer for the consequences. True love can always understands, can be patient, kind always has room for forgiveness and a lot more. So don't be scared to love coz it's always us who can make it last if we want to.

Most asians can't go on without rice during major meal time

My family and I rarely have rice with our meals. Occasionally we'll have chicken and yellow rice, or sweet and sour chicken served over white rice, but these meals are only served two or three times a month. We usually have something like chicken, beef, or fish, served with a potato and a vegetable, and usually some kind of bread. Sometimes we do have something like a flavored rice pilaf, but it never makes up the biggest part of the meal. I do like rice a lot- my mom even eats cooked white rice with sugar and milk, like a cereal.

Foreign dishes have found its way through our taste buds, and some people have adapted foreign way of making dishes and eating. Still, I go searching for rice.

CANADA won gold in ice dancing.

Congrats to the Canada's Ice dancing team , they won gold! True it isn't hockey but it is history! this is the first time a non Russian/ Soviet team hasn't won gold in ice dancing. They've pushed out Russia and other europeans. And they say that american silver medalists are their training partners. So it will just mean that their rivalry will continue until the 2014 Olympics.

They skated the best long program i have ever seen since Tovil and Dean! To all my Canadian friends out there, be proud of this!

The Olympic Opening Night Ceremonies

It was a spectacular opening ceremony indeed without lacking in color, stunts and fireworks.

However, it was also a somber one where the ceremony commemorated a Georgian luge athlete, Nodar Kumaritashvili - who had earlier lost his life whilst in his very first Olympics, lost control on the luge track on his final training run.

I felt touched when the Georgian team walked into the stadium with black armbands. It was disclosed earlier that they had threatened to walk out in protest to the safety standards of the Winter Games venue.

So, I really have to give it to them and the Canadian organizers who stick to the end and sensitively flew the flags at half mast.

Learn.com Launches The Learn.com® Personal Edition

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Learn dot com. All opinions are 100% mine.

With regards to my job exploration, I think what I hope for is a job that is about 35% art and 65% writing. What this job is, I have no idea. Directing movies, Photojournalism, Comic book writing, or some career that I’ve never considered in the past??? Before I kept on narrowing my mind because I thought I couldn’t do things. I didn’t want to become a journalist because I didn’t want to write for the school paper and couldn’t figure out how to branch out from that and find out what I wanted to write. I didn’t want to become an artist because I thought you couldn’t make any money doing that.

When parents say to you that you should acquire the usual types of jobs (teacher, nurse, lawyer, doctor, engineer), they do that because they haven’t explored the different opportunities. I want to explore the different opportunities. I want to see what’s out there. Ultimately, I want a job that makes me want to get up each morning to go to work, not one that makes me want to stay asleep and keep dreaming. But before I can do that, I have to develop some other skills aside from being good in arts. Through Elearning from Learn.com, Elearning is a wide-ranging term that usually refers to any kind of learning done with a computer and Internet. It is used by individuals, educational institutions and businesses. Elearning affords students the chance to study and participate around a schedule that suits their lifestyle; completing assignments at their own pace, at a convenient location. It is an effective program gives students the chance to discover new skills, refresh their knowledge, or develop current skills to a more advanced level.

Learn.com recently launches The Learn.com Personal Edition Featuring Skill Score for individuals to hone their skills in various fields. Learn.com is the first company in history to provide a single, integrated platform that gives people the skills they need, exactly when they need them - on demand. For job seekers and others wanting to develop career skills and earn a top Skill Score to show job willingness.

Oh bama!!!!

This question is probably not going to make me a very popular person today but I am going to ask it anyway!

WHY on Earth was it Soooo "IMPORTANT" for President Barack Obama of the United States to fly to Copenhagen, Denmark...not to mention the First Lady also, to "help" put in a bid for the 2016 Olympics to be held in Chicago?

IF they wanted someone of "Power" to be there then why was The First Lady Michelle Obama, not enough? The First Lady is Powerful in her Own Right isn't she?

I don't know what it cost the First Lady to fly there on a separate jet but I do know that it cost Air Force One somewhere around $69,000 or $70,000, possibly more, per hour to fly.

I would think that not only in these hard economic times the money could have been spent in possibly a better way...not to mention for a better cause, possibly a little thing like saving the World from being Nuked or something. Let's face it, if the World is Nuked Before 2016 then the money would have been wasted anyway...

I'm just askin'...?

Designer Contemporary Furniture

The dining room table is where the family gathers to talk about the day or share of a daily meal. It is a place to entertain guests and throw dinner parties. Unfortunately, these rooms are going out of style in favor of eating at the kitchen island, or in breakfast nooks. These rooms can even focus you more on having sit down family dinners and teaching your kids table manners.

But if you're tired of sitting around a table in the corner of the kitchen, or eating on a stool at a bar, perhaps it's time to buy a Dining Room Tables set. There are a few things to consider before buying the first set you see and like. Take a little time before purchasing a dining room set, since it could be a purchase that will last for years.

The main chef of the family

I just finished having a conversation with a male friend of mine and during the conversation we started talking about cooking. He was mentioning some of the different reasons that each of the sexes cook. Among the reasons he thought was that many times a women will cook because she is the main chef of the family and it is just something she does almost every day whereas many times a man is not the main chef of the household and does it for different reasons. I thought it was a good point that he made and I have to say that I agree with him.

But as the conversation went on he was mentioning that he thought probably everyone could cook if they would read a recipe and understand it before they begin cooking the meal and of course there is also an element of a "feel" for cooking. At that point I mentioned to him that I could not cook with a recipe because every time that I do I mess up the meal entirely! While it is true that I may glance through book s once in a while to get an idea of something new to cook, you will never see me put the recipe on the kitchen sink and begin following it!

How about you? When you cook do you use a recipe as a general rule or are you like me and just go in the kitchen and start putting things together that you feel should go together and turn out a meal?

Property Management Map

The home owners are typically thinking of maximizing their extra or regular incomes through leasing or renting their property to the right tenants. But running properties that are occupied by strangers is not an easy task. Sometimes it cannot even be decided who is the right tenant. With the current economic unsteadiness, a landlord even has limited option to choose for quality occupants that should apply their property.

Thanks that Property Manager in Cincinnati had provided management services for landlords in northern Ohio by taking out toughest jobs such as property maintenance, accounting, marketing, legal prospects, and property inspecting. They are a property management company offering full service leasing and management of rental property

Learning

It's all a part of life and all a part of growing up...learning. From the time we are born until the time we die we are suppose to be one continuous learning machine!

We are suppose to learn when we are children right from wrong from our parents, how to dress ourselves, how to feed ourselves, how to use the restroom and then we are old enough to go to school and learn all of the lessons that books have to teach us there and how to get along with others and then we grow into adults and we are suppose to continue to learn about life, relationships, earning a living and all of the other things that go along with life.

Some people find it easier to learn different things but that is why we are all different. Where one may learn better from books another may learn better from life.

So my question to everyone is...what has been the hardest lesson you have had to learn so far in your life?

For me, the hardest thing is to get along with different kinds of people. We have to meet various people during our lifetime. We had playmates when we were kids. When we went to school, we had classmates in the school and also friends outside the school. We have to get along with our parents in the most time of our life. When we grow up, we will have our own family, we have to learn how to organize a family well, etc. There are so many people we need to meet. They have different characteristics, maybe rude, maybe kind, maybe selfish, maybe honest, etc. Obviously, when getting along different kinds of people, we have different ways. All this cannot be learnt from our parents or teachers. The only way to master this skill is to experience. That’s why I think it is the most difficult lesson for me. But all in all, I am doing not bad in this. Although there must be someone who don't like me or even hate me, I still have lots of friends… and you?

Rapidshare search engine for media files.

The demand for watching video or movies has been changing from a physical CD rental store to the digital field of virtual shops such as Youtube.

I luckily came across the site called Rapidqueen.com which is happen to be a Media Search Engine. It is only one of its kind desktop software which enables you to search Share links on the Web with minimal effort. You can easily search for mp3, movies, software or other files hosted on a share servers.

When I accessed this search engine it showed a list of the "Last 50 Rapidshare Searches", without me having to put anything in the search window. Rapidshare require no registration. It will never ask you to download anything to your computer, and all of them are easy to use, and worth using. It is in fact great to see services, such as Rapidshare.

Directory Synchronization

When I started messing around with computers several years ago, the big thing was back-up, and for me that typically meant printing everything out on paper. When it became possible to do directory synchronization that was somewhat an improvement, and one that, I think, saved a lot of paper.

I'm thankful to take notice of this directory synchronization, a different technique of filing documents and to synchronize all the files within. It would be easier to look for the files in the folders with the use of the directory and spare a little time to check and search for the file.

I'm excited to download this file synchronization folder. But I need to buy directory synchronization for all the files and to help me synchronize all the files stored in the computer.

How does Valentine's Day make you feel?

Well I have to say that I am a little sad, my husband has to work this Valentine's Day. I guess it won't be too bad; at least I'll have our daughter to keep me company. I am thinking that I and the girls are going to spend the day watching movies together and just playing around. I think that it will be pretty fun regardless. I just wish that my husband was going to be here with us, I know that it would be better with the whole family together. Have you ever spent Valentine's Day without your partner? Why? What did you do to keep yourself busy? I am not too disappointed because our 5 year wedding anniversary is coming up and I know that he doesn't have to work on that day, we might even get a sitter for the girls so that we can do something alone with each other. So how does Valentine's Day make you feel?
