Win a free Weekend Stay

Hampton_logo

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hampton Hotels. All opinions are 100% mine.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn. My husband and I were traveling with our 22 month old baby. It's proximity to Rockefeller Center, 5th Ave, Times Square, and Central Park enabled us to go out for a few hours and return for nap time. The hotel provided a crib and refrigerator upon request which was especially helpful with a young child. We were really impressed with the breakfast buffet and the coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and apples available all day long - especially after a day out in the chilly weather. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet. Not only were the staff very friendly and accommodating, but the other guests were also all very courteous and friendly.

Currently, Hampton Hotels is throwing a Hampton Chain of Friends Sweepstakes. Joining this contest will give you a chance to win a free weekend stay at any Hampton Hotel with 100 of your friends, along with 100 first prizes of weekend stays that will be given away daily to the winner and 3 of their friends. You will have the chance to win an entire hotel which consists of 100 rooms for two nights with your special chain of friends! This is an exciting giveaway that you wouldn't want to miss.

Let your imagination run wild - heck, you could invite a bunch of people you don't know and have a whole bunch of NEW friends by the end of the weekend. That might be nice, right?

If I was to win this I would love to invite all my old college friends. It would be like our own college reunion. That would be so much fun.

What is it about Jennifer Aniston?

What is it about her that makes her so insanely popular and hugely successful? While I understand that she's pretty and is a pretty good actress, it's amazing to think that she's one of the most in-high-demand and popular American actresses.. ever. She manages to score a TON of big-screen main roles, has snagged advertising campaigns (like being the spokesperson/endorser of Smart Water), and being all over the tabloids.

But, I think it was just the stars aligning and Friends being what it was that launched her career to the point that it is now...you could argue that the whole Brad Pitt thing actually helped her career, because she was seen, appropriately or not, as the victim in that scenario, and often outside media attention does translate into box office sales. It can hurt if the media message is a negative one--as Tom Cruise found out when War of the Worlds didn't do nearly as well as was expected after he spent the summer verbally attacking people and jumping on furniture.

What is it about her?
Do you like her?
Do you hate her?

Do you feel like she should be MORE popular or less popular than she is, based on her talents?

The Bounty Hunter.. thoughts?

Okay, I've been going on a little bit of a movie bonanza (?) lately. Drowning out my sorrows via hollywood movies, if you will. This discussion is about "the Bounty Hunter" with Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston, which came out recently in theaters. Has anyone else seen this?

I thought it was cute and actually liked it.. I loved Jennifer Aniston's outfits! (On a side note) and Gerard Butler is a total hunk! As far as the storyline..It was OK. Although is it just me, or do Jen and Gerard have literally no on-screen chemistry? Maybe I'm crazy.

What were your thoughts on this movie?

SeeSaw - If you love TV

3

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of SeeSaw. All opinions are 100% mine.

For some people like me that travel or work during any kind of hours of a day, it is almost a given that we miss shows or events that once kept us tuned into the television set. When you factor in the traveling, it is tougher to keep up with them.

When surfing around the internet to find a way to catch up on shows that I missed, I came across the SeeSaw TV home page. It is a site dedicated to offering you the best of British TV online. When you visit SeeSaw it isn’t just a single channel player – it is all of the terrestrial British TV channels represented. And best of all, it’s totally legal! There is a broad menu on entertainment offer that includes Comedy Section, drama section, factual section etc. There are lots of free contents such as Hustle, Countdown, and Women’s World Open etc. And there are many programs that can be rented for as low as 99p per episode.

If you would like to rent an episode you will have 30 days to watch it. Once you start viewing you have 48 hours to complete your viewing. During that time you can pause, resume and rewind as much as you like or you can rent the whole series for up to 90 days and the same condition apply. And you can share what you’re watching with your friends on Twitter and Facebook.

I’ve been catching up with TV on SeeSaw a lot lately and I have to admit, this is an amazing service. For those of you that enjoy watching TV and have missed an episode, check out SeeSaw.com. They have a huge selection of shows from the BBC, Channel 4 and Five.

Complete the SeeSaw free online registration and you'll soon be watching everything on your big screen; legally and safely.

(Mature Content)

My cousin, who recently got married, is having a teensy problem with her new husband being.. addicted to dirty adult sites. (Nothing against that kind of stuff, but everything is good in moderation.) The biggest problem is that he's on those sites when she's away and on her NEW laptop. Now, I know these sites can be kind of.. fishy sometimes (with spyware and so on) and she doesn't want her new laptop (which she hasn't even finished paying for yet!) to get some virus from his.. little addiction.

I'm pretty clueless because I've never had my parents set parental controls of any kind on my computer (even though I started going on the internet when I was 10) and while I know a tad bit about computers, I'm totally dumb when it comes to this. Where do you get these kinds of programs? And how do they work? Can my cousin specifically block out "adult" sites? What's the name of a good program - are there any free ones? And if not, how much do they typically go for and where do you get them?

Anyway, thanks for your help!

"Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart." "CAPTCHA"

Do you ever feel this way, too? For example, when signing up for a new email or something - I CONSTANTLY struggle with being able to read captchas.

Captchas are jumbled words and numbers/symbols used to "detect" if we're an ACTUAL person signing up for a service, rather than an automated computer "robot" (this is how I understand it, anyway).

But usually, when I have to type them in - they're either TOO jumbled, too close together, or too distorted for me to even read. It usually takes at least 3 tries with most captchas to actually get them right.

So - I am a human being, but can't read half of the captchas I get! What's up with that?

Does anyone else feel the same way - or am I crazy?

I am addicted to any of the sites I am doing

Much like many of my other vices (smoking, gambling, caffeine), online earning has somehow wedged itself into my daily life without me even noticing it! I'm coming to this realization as I start getting into doing free offers again over at Treasure Trooper (I took an unofficial hiatus from it - because I was really, really sick of it and burned out.) I've watched my account go up $15 in the past week and I'm really excited, so I've been going on like two-three times a day for about an hour each. I can't help myself.

And about a year ago, I was OBSESSED with blogging. I came on and post AT LEAST 5 posts a day. Now my obsession has shifted back to Treasure Trooper.

Does anyone have any similar feelings? Do you feel like doing all these online activities for money - is somewhat of an addiction? That actually MAY interrupt your social life?

What site are YOU currently addicted to? (NO ref links, please).

What age did you become independent?

At what age did you finally become independent from your parents/guardians? And by this I mean (not only) moving out, but being financially independent, as well?

In your culture, what is the "appropriate" age to become independent at? Are you looked down upon for being dependent on your parents past a certain age?

I'm curious to know!
I live in the United States & I feel like sometimes we face a lot of pressure to move out at the age of 18. In my current financial situation (in college with only a part-time job) I find it almost IMPOSSIBLE to follow such absurdly demanding cultural standards. What about you? Do you feel pressured in your community to move out & become independent, also?
