Local search marketing

Many small businesses tend to ignore the Web as a marketing tool. These small businesses, such as local dry cleaners, bakers, repair shops, etc., believe that word of mouth and Yellow Page advertisements are much more influential in their business success. Previously, they may have been right, but changes in Google search algorithms are emphasizing local "returns' in a Web search, bring local businesses more prominent displays in Google search returns. Most businesses don't realize that Google Local search marketing can dramatically affect their profits and their business reputation.
